Located in a private, peaceful woodland setting, Salemhaven is a privately owned not-for-profit, 110-bed skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Salemhaven is Medicaid and Medicare Certified and provides general medical and 24-hour nursing care as well as a number of specialized programs and services to our residents.

We know that these are difficult times for you. Choosing the right setting for a relative, a friend - or even yourself - isn’t always easy. But we are pleased to say it needn’t be that way. Our residents maintain their independence and dignity, while enjoying the graciousness, companionship, and safety that are important characteristics of Salemhaven. Our comfortable rooms, delicious meals, courteous service, and convinient location are all designed to provide health care with a just-like-home feeling.

We've been called a "second family" by our residents. That's because we realize that, although each of our residents has individual needs, they all share a common desire for the same caring attension that only a family can give. For example, our full-time activities director makes sure there is something for everyone to do. Socialize with friends new and old. Paint a picture. Pursue a hobby. Settle under a shade tree with a good book. Attend a religious service. Whether it's an old favorite or a new adventure, all our activities are meant to improve our resident's quality of living.

Silverthorne is an Adult Day Program that has cared for seniors in the area for over 12 years. Silverthorne is located on the campus of Salemhaven Nursing Home.
