Raymond Milliard, Administrator 

Ray Milliard has been the administrator of Salemhaven since April of 2003. He has been a licensed administrator since 1996, holding licenses in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Ray is an employee of Covenant Health Systems, a non-profit faith-based company serving greater northern New England. Covenant manages Salemhaven at the pleasure of Salemhaven’s Board of Trustees.  Ray has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida, is certified in Alzheimer’s care and served honorably as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Andrea Lajoie, RN  Director of Nursing 

Andrea Lajoie has been working in nursing for 28 years, starting her career as a nursing assistant and then a graduate of Rivier College in Nashua, NH. She has been a Director of Nursing for 15 years and in 2012 obtained certification from the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care. Andrea joined the Salemhaven team in July 2017 with the goal of providing quality care and customer service and have Salemhaven be the community choice for short term and long term care as well as employer of choice.

Cecilia Biggart, RN   Assistant Director of Nursing

Cecilia started her career in Long Term Care as a housekeeper and then a nursing assistant. She went to nursing school and became an LPN first then went on to get her RN. She has been nursing for 36 years the majority being in Long Term Care. Cecilia received her Associate of Science degree from Northern Essex Community college and her Bachelors Degree from Excelsior College. Cecilia has been a Director of Nurses, Assistant Director, Staff Developer and has taught C.N.A classes for the Red Cross and Whittier Vo Tech in Haverhill. Cecilia joined Salemhaven in August 2017 with the goal of supporting the Director of Nursing and team of staff to provide quality care and excellent customer service.

Danette Donovan, RN  Admissions Coordinator

Danette is a graduate of Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley, MA. She has 20+ years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care hospital setting as well as the long term care setting.  She has several years experience in a managerial capacity and recently took on the role of Admissions Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Liaison for Salemhaven. She has been a team member here since 2010 and enjoys working with the elderly population and helping to make the transition from the community to Salemhaven a smooth one. She is also available for you to stop in for a facility tour or to answer any of your questions. 

Allison Battis, MSW  Director of Social Services

Allison has been the Director of Social Services since February 2015.  Allison’s role at Salemhaven is to address any emotional or social factors relating to the resident and their current situation. She is available to identify and handle any issues that may arise during the length of stay at Salemhaven for both the resident, as well as their family members. Allison’s focus is on the psychosocial well-being of the resident to ensure their time with us at Salemhaven is enjoyable.  Allison graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science/Sociology.  Allison went on to obtain her LSW license in 2001 and has been working with the geriatric population since 1998 in both home care and long term setting.  Allison lives in Atkinson NH with her husband and has one daughter. 

Emily Nutter, Activity Department Director

NCCAP-Certified Activities Director, Emily and her family came to New Hampshire after 10 years with the USAF. She has been on staff at Salemhaven since 1989 and became the Activity Director in 2003. Emily believes that our lives are truly enriched by the people we have met through churches, schools, community organizations and our extended family here at Salemhaven.

Chef Gary Madigan, Dietary Department
The Salemhaven Dietary Department's mission is to provide and cater to its residents by creating a positive dining experience. We are committed to professionally preparing and serving nutritious home-style meals each day. As part of this commitment, we must incorporate and adhere to special therapeutic diets, textures and tastes, as well as special requests from residents and family members. In addition to these duties, the Dietary Department participates and sponsors many community events and lends its services wherever a positive influence can be made. They are proud to contribute to a team of dedicated individuals that strive for total resident and family satisfaction.

Dennis Giangregorio, Director of Environmental Services
As Environmental Services Director, we have the honor of maintaining a safe and clean environment for all of our residents, staff and visitors here at Salemhaven. In addition to providing a clean and safe facility, our job is to ensure the facility complies with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to healthcare facilities. Salemhaven remains the facility of choice among clients with content and satisfied residents. Please stop by and visit us with any questions or concerns that you may have about the maintenance or housekeeping departments.

Kathy Murray-Potvin, Business Office Manager

Kathy has been the Business Office Manager at Salemhaven since its opening in 1980. Her role involves all aspects of Accounts Receivable including Medicaid, Medicare and insurance billing. As Office Manager, she oversees a very capable staff whose responsibilities include Payroll, Accounts Payable and Reception. Kathy is available to assist residents & families with questions regarding NH Medicaid and other financial matters.

Debbie Wane, RD/LDN Dietician

Debbie obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from University of Connecticut. She has worked as a dietitian in acute care, pediatrics, outpatient counseling, and in long term care. Debbie is registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and dogs!
