How is the food?
Fantastic! Our very special “hidden gem” is Salemhaven's very own chef, Gary Madigan. Gary knows what the residents want to eat and how delicious it should taste. The culinary department of Salemhaven serves delicious and nutritious meals every day, three times daily.

Are there set Visiting Hours?
For the sake of the residents it is recommended that visiting be between
9am – 8:30pm. However, as this is the residents’ home exceptions will be made based on individual circumstances and needs.

Can pets come in?
Yes, we are a pet friendly facility. We encourage families to bring in pets (with updated shots and physicals) to visit their loved ones.

Is there smoking allowed in the building?
No, we are a health care facility and we provide a smoke-free environment.

How many days a week do you have Rehabilitation available?
We offer Rehabilitation 7 days a week.

Can I take my loved one out to lunch or home for a visit?
Absolutely! Check with the nurses’ station to make arrangements.

Are there daily activities?
7 days and evenings a week. Check the monthly activity calendar for scheduled events and field trips!

Is Salemhaven part of a national chain?
No, we are a privately managed not-for-profit trust governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
